Player Characters
Brother Godfrey (Born Alustraude Foster) - Orthodoxy Theurgist. Alustraud was born a Bastard son to Lady Alica Gagarin Van Gelder and an unnamed Decados Boyar and raised as a peer to her legitimate sons and dear brother of Alden. When Alustraud had finished Primary School and his brother was away at peerage school Lord Thaddius took him aside and explained the boy's lineage and told him he would have to make his way in the world on his own. His loving mother secreted the cast-out boy into a decent Orthodox Seminary Academy where he could learn a trade to survive on. While preparing for a stressful thesis debate Alustraude's holy stigma awoke and be bled from his throat in the aspect of Saint Godfrey, protector of the lost. His plans to become a catechist were derailed and his was directed into the study of theurgy, taking the name Godfrey. He now works in Elibyrge under the Priest Occult of the Arch Diocese, learning the trade of a Theurgist.
Non-Player Characters
Chelsea Hendle Van Gelder - Lady Heir of Mokolvo. Born four years ahead of her Bastard Brother Alustraud and two ahead of Alden, Chelsea is the expected heir of their family estates in the Sokol Valley. Chelsea is strong-headed and bold but she doesn't feel ready for the mantle of Ladyship and her mother's failing health has begun to cause her to panic that her days wearing the crown are drawing closer. She is resentful of Alden's freedom from responsibity and doesn't understand Godfrey's radical change from the child she watched over.
Sir Ben Kithman Van Gelder - Knight Recruit of the Order of the Blue Glove. Ben is weaponsmith's son, raised in awe of Henning and his knights. He tried out repeatedly until he was accepted into their ranks and the order defines him. However, the reality of being a knight of the order has caused him some disillusionment and much of what the order does in the name of the greater good doesn't sit well with him.
Sir Altier Camden Van Gelder - Knight of the Order of the Blue Glove. Altienr was the son of an unpopular Baroness Eldana's court and one of the house's most feared assassins. He wasn't permitted normal schooling or much socialization growing up so his social skills outside of normal savior faire are very limited. He is a deadly strongarm for the order but is reluctant to take any action he's not ordered to for fear of his own poor judgement.
Ian the Handsome - Sir Ian Erramun Basque - Knight of the Order of the Blue Glove. Ian was born with everything but a future. He was bright and attractive and wealthy, bred from the most expensive genes. He was given the best schooling and invested in him was the hope of House Basques resurrection, but there was never a path for Ian to follow to drag his lesser house out of obscurity. In his elder years Ian gravitated towards The Order as it at least gives him a chance to help a fellow lesser house. Ian is a friendly noble with an easy nature and a keen mind, and seeks opportunities for his suave tongue and clever wit to shine.
Emily Sheerling - Wyrd peasant girl. Emily is psychic gifted in the path of Omen. Her ability is largely untrained but she's learned to manipulate it for her own survival. Emily periodically uses words that don't seem like part of the vocabulary of a girl her age and she has some startling insights into problems. Godfrey has become suspicious of this.
Jenny Sparks - Enterprising Freeman Cabbie (Deceased). Jenny is a crafty businesswoman who takes her lead from the Leage merchants she's worked with. Despite her hard-nosed salesman approach to life she continues to bed her own rules and get more deeply involved in the affairs of the brothers.
Private Uzilo Maatbe - Cocky Muster demolitionist. Uzilo was a vetran who specialized in the trade of demolitions during the war. In peace he struggles to find work and often has to take less-desirable work. Through his work with the brothers he has become fond of Brother Godfrey who he believes is one of the few humans who does't have his head up his ass.
